Dates: July 12-July 16
Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm
In this week-long camp, kids explore the art and life of eight master artists. This curriculum was developed by Ms. Jo using the Getting to Know the World's Greatest Artists book series by Mike Venezia. Starting each day with one of these biographies sets the stage for the students to explore each artist's life and their various art forms. Campers will read books, watch videos and research these masters, then complete art activities with teacher guidance while collaborating with peers. This course gives students the opportunity to practice skills in painting, drawing, reading, and researching, as well as using various artist tools and equipment. The camp concludes with a ‘gallery opening’ as our space is transformed into an art gallery featuring our camper's masterpieces.

Instructors: Meet the Lawsons!
With over 25 years of teaching and coaching experience between them, Johanna and Justin Lawson are here to help your child reach their full potential. The Lawsons have been a part of the First Coast community for most of their lives. After meeting at Flagler College in St. Augustine, they decided to set down roots in Jacksonville, becoming public school teachers working with elementary, middle, and high school students. Now they are raising their daughters in Nocatee and want to share their teaching expertise with your family.
