Does your child love to tell stories? Do they dream of one day making a movie or writing a novel?
In this week-long camp, kids in grades 4-8 have the opportunity to explore the art of storytelling. This curriculum, created as a collaboration between Pixar Animation Studios and Khan Academy, uses technology to engage and then teaches valuable writing and thinking skills, while also providing a way for the student to express their ideas and emotions. Kids have the opportunity to practice skills in writing, drawing, presenting, collaborating, listening, giving and receiving feedback, speaking, and editing their work. When this type of curriculum is paired with a dynamic teacher and peer collaboration, exciting things begin to happen! This course culminates with a completed Storyboard + Storyreel (video/podcast) to keep and share with family and friends.
