Venue Director

Sales Manager

The Sales Manager is responsible for selling and engaging individuals and organizations for the link. The primary goals are to help bring awareness and drive growth in bookings of memberships, event space, meeting rooms, the podcast studio, programming, sponsorship opportunities, and more. The Sales Manager is responsible for delivering fantastic guest service throughout all the sales process stages, including ongoing post-event follow-up to ensure repeat business and referrals. The Sales Manager will also be making inbound and outbound sales to drive growth and revenue.

Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to overall venue sales team revenue goals by meeting or exceeding personal sales quotas as developed
Strive to deliver an unparalleled guest experience on the phone, via email and with in-person communication from inquiry stage to post-event follow up
Develop and foster client relationships through ongoing communication with contacts to ensure repeat business and referrals
Create, manage and coordinate bookings
Coordinate with Venue Director to promote a fun, competitive, results centered, and engaging environment
A continued learner of best sales practices and growth opportunities both digitally and in-person
A collaborative attitude to support overall venue projects and events; as a member of the link team, you may interact with members when on site
Other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications:
3+ years of current sales experience, preferable in hospitality, restaurant or entertainment venue focused on event/ticket sales
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or Sales/Marketing preferred. Will also consider applicants with relevant work history
Ability to communicate effectively with new clients, return clients, co-workers and management
Strong computer skills, particularly with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CRM Applications
Strong interpersonal and people skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational and project management skillsets
Capable of managing multiple projects/programs simultaneously while remaining calm under pressure
Excellent pace and energy, self-motivated
Ability to maintain and project professionalism, internally and externally, at all times
Flexible in approach; can readily adapt to business and team needs and changes
Excellent self-accountability for high personal standards of conduct and professionalism
Process-oriented, highly organized, fast and accurate, able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Community Manager

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and engaging with the organization's online community in a way that builds brand awareness. They will work cross-functionally with internal partners to understand business objectives in order to communicate effectively with members and clients.

Ultimately, you should be able to act as the face and voice of our brand and manage all community communications. You get energized from supporting a growing brand, interacting with teams, and members.


Community Manager duties and responsibilities


Set, plan, and implement social media and communication campaigns and strategies to inform members of upcoming events, activities, building updates, and happenings
Coordinate and help provide engaging text, image, and video content for all social media and professional accounts
Respond to members in a timely manner
Monitor, track and report on feedback and online reviews or on-campus feedback
Help organize and manage events to serve members and clients; a go-getter!
Coordinate with the link team members for Marketing, Programing, and Venue needs
Liaise with Sales Manager ongoing to help grow the link's awareness and support ongoing clients
Respond to inquires and route questions to proper team member
Build relationships with members, clients, industry professionals and journalists
Stay up-to-date with digital technology trends and local happenings
Manage App and Office Tool for Member updates, events, and space bookings

Community Manager requirements

Proven work experience as a community manager or similar role
Experience planning and leading community initiatives
Ability to support in areas that admin work is needed; versatility to lend a hand or support the overall success of the team is desired
Ability to identify and track relevant community KPIs
Excellent verbal communication skills
Help support invoicing, sending of contracts, and providing other information as needed to support team projects
Excellent writing skills
Excellent interpersonal and presentations skills
Okay with working weekend events or projects as needed
Hands on experience with social media management and understanding of posting events
Knowledge of online marketing
Attention to detail, critical-thinker and problem-solver
BSc degree in Marketing/Coms or relevant field; however experience, skill, and willingness to learn will be considered

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent
2+ years' in marketing, communications, office management, Events, or related role
Strong written and verbal communication skills
