Circle of Creation met for the fifth session of the year on Wednesday, Aug. 26. This year’s theme, “Reimagine in the Face of Disruption,” has led to thought-provoking discussions about how to use A.I. as a tool to enhance businesses, careers and personal leadership.

Gurpreet Misra, founder of Circle of Creation, opened the session feeling grateful for the audience, attendees, speakers and how enriching the journey that started in March has been. She discussed disruption due to technology and the importance of understanding its impact on the economy.

Keynote speaker Parul Patel is a transformational strategy executive with more than 25 years of experience leading digital transformation and customer strategy for various enterprises. She advises executives on A.I. strategy, customer experience and organizational transformation. Her presentation, “Human at the Core: Using A.I. to Deepen Customer Connection and Team Impact,” gave the audience valuable insights and a new perspective on how to approach this shift in the business world.

Patel introduced Claude, her A.I. companion, and gave tips for how to use an A.I. companion practically. A.I. can be used to assist with organization and finding information. It’s a great tool to have in your pocket.

“I believe that we should all have an A.I. companion,” she said.

A.I. can be used when you are stuck to help generate ideas. It can also be a “thought partner,” and challenge your thinking. You can even pick the mode your A.I. operates in. There are options to set goals, find data sources and control how you want your A.I. to interact.

Next, Patel spoke about how to use A.I. to stress-test and identify your target customer personas. Patel demonstrated this by creating personas for the link and discussed what different customers might be looking for. Translating A.I.-generated customer insights can be a great practice for various conversations and interactions with customers. This is an excellent tool to access instead of relying on outdated market research or gut instinct.

While A.I. can give valuable insight and guidance, it will never replace human connection, Patel said. A.I. can accelerate the work, but human relationship building is still key. Being empathetic and building relationships with customers is something that only we can do.

Emotional intelligence still needs to lead. A.I. has a lot of good information, but it doesn’t have years of human experience. Utilize A.I. as a tool, but always use your judgment and double check facts, Patel said.

A lot of people today feel threatened by A.I., Patel explained. However, when used well, it can act as a team member. A.I. can be a tool to equip your team by prepping for customer conversations and helping to spot needs faster.

“Success is determined by our ability to connect,” Patel said.

In closing, Patel shared some practical applications. Investing in an A.I. companion can be a valuable asset to your team if taught how to use it well. A.I. is a great tool, but it’s critical to remind your team that human relationships can never be built with A.I. Finally, coach your team on how to train your A.I. companion to function more efficiently.

Circle of Creation members enjoyed a night of networking and open discussion and walked away with a deeper understanding of how to connect with their customers.
