Link hosts Circle of Creation

Sierra Pollard is extremely passionate about team building.

The link hosted Circle of Creation on Tuesday, April 21; it featured Sierra Pollard as the guest speaker. 

The goal of the Circle of Creation series is to examine current issues that women in the workforce and women entrepreneurs are currently facing. 

Pollard started her first business when she was 22 years old and from there she worked to explore every industry that she could. She has her undergraduate degree in digital arts and sciences, her master’s degree in engineering and her Ph.D. in business engineering. 

She is an expert in design thinking, entrepreneurial networking and ecosystem development. 

She has owned five businesses including a nonprofit, and she is the founder of Winnovation Agency. 

Winnovation Agency is a coaching and consulting firm that is dedicated to developing founders and strengthening entrepreneurial ecosystems. She works closely with students, founders and startups to help them build ideas and clarity. 

“My goal is to create a space to bring people together to create innovation and to collaborate,” said Pollard. 

In grad school, Pollard focused on product innovation, and she started developing a series of games that help further design thinking. When working on her master’s thesis, she published her first textbook with 23 of these games. 

Pollard believes that confidence and collaboration are the keys anytime you are taking on a new task.

“Innovation never happens alone. Finding ways to collaborate with people outside our industry is extremely useful,” she said.
